Try on Sessions

So for many of my friends its pretty obvious they hate either shopping for themselves or the entire try on process. Either its the time to try on clothes in the dressing room or just feeling like they can’t find anything that bothers them its hard to say. I know I would have days where I felt unable to find anything I liked and struggled with taking the time to try stuff on.
I first think before I head to the mall. What are the general pieces that I am shopping for? What kind of shoes would look best with the items I’m looking for? If its spring I don’t want to be wearing boots in the dressing room trying on dresses. I always remember that now I want to bring a pair of cute sandals or heels to wear with the clothes I’m trying on. And in worst case senecio, no shoes at all, and no socks! Its hard to visually see yourself in the dress with a pair of athletic socks on.
Also pay attention to your hair and makeup. I agree that natural beauty is best, its just not best for me lol. I like to make sure that my hair is done and my makeup is set and looking good. Its hard to see if you like the clothes if you can’t get past the fact that your face is broken out or your hair looks like you need a blowout. When all the little details are done, you feel better. Its like clutter, its hard to see the beauty when the clutter is taking up space.
Being one of the biggest challenges is time for sure. You have to make time to try on clothes. You have to find multiple pieces and carry them into the dressing rooms, after you find someone to let you in. And in the rare occasion you find an amazing staffer that is more then willing to start a room for you. If you anything like me I like to gather all pieces of an outfit and take it with me. That means that if I grab that navy top I want to be grabbing a white pair of shorts or jeans that would go with it. It is such a struggle to see if an outfit is going to work if you only do half of it.
Loft is one of my favorite places to do a try on because, its quiet! There is rarely any overly loud music playing in the background and the staff is helpful but not overwhelming and the doors don’t have locks. You can just try on without having to hunt someone down. Great if you are in a hurry.
Target is nice to try on because of the staff always at the desk. They may not be helpful in getting items or personal attention but they do move people along which is nice.
Old Navy the music tends to be on the loud side and sometimes I find it difficult to find staff to unlock a door. But the rooms are kept clean so that is a plus and they are helpful if you need something.
American Eagle staff is usually very good. Rooms are kept clean and the staff are excellent at taking care of the customers.
Just a few of them but in most part I can’t complain about any of them. All very helpful and make for a good experience.
To sum up my thoughts, I love trying on clothes. I love sharing trying on clothes. It really makes me appreciate the work and effort people put into them. When I go I make it an experience. I do my hair and my makeup and bring my shoes and enjoy it. I let it relax me like a day to the spa. I take videos and pictures so I can share everything I loved later. Hopefully you will do the same!
