Rain Rain go away! Duck Boots to save the day
So it has been raining nonstop lately. Like really, nonstop and I have had my fill. So thankful that I have my Sperry Duck Boots to save the day. I have been wearing mine for the last year and I am so glad that I make the purchase. I wanted to share because I think that they are such a great, versatile piece that still look cute. I love the fact that you can just slip them on. They also have a zipper on the side if needed. I have never needed to use the zipper but it is there in case you need it.
I also have a pair of Hunter boots and I do love them a lot but when it comes to comfort the Sperry are much better. I like that they are only so tall so it is comfortable to sit at a desk in them. I don’t have to worry about them bunching up my jeans like with tall hunters do. I love that you can easily slip them off and put on cute shoes if the weather turns nicer. I like to carry a pair of flip flops in the car just for this. In case the spring/summer decides to stop raining I can change quickly.
My pair are out of stock at the moment but here are some pairs, as low as 67! The most expensive pair is 110.00 and a lot of them are in between. So a good range of shoes from Sperry to chose from. I picked ones that were also available in a ton of sizes still. I know you will love them so check them out!

Blogger Copy Cat Collab Post
I have made so many good friends thru Instagram and so far the experience for me has been nothing short of wonderful. I have always wanted to do something with my creative side and I never really had the chance to fully dive head in before Instagram. Before I had an esty shop where I used to make blankets and homemade soap and bathbombs. Then I had Will and it was too hard to keep up. I have always loved watching fashion influencers photos to see whats in style and I wanted to do that.
I got divorced and suddenly had all of this free time that I have never had before. Previously I was a full time mom 24/7 and never had a minute away from my kids. Now I had every other weekend and I needed something that helped me find me again. So I took the leap and dove head firsts into Instagram fashion Blogging.
I loved Rachel from @pinterestingplans from the beginning. I watched her first and loved her style and reliability. She had multiple blog posts about how she became an Instagram influencer and I started taking notes. I loved everything she did and I wanted to be as big as her someday. So it was an easy decision to chose her when doing a Copy Cat Collab Post of Instagram.
1st post:
Her style is timeless. She is elegant and chic and makes it look so easy. For this look I grabbed the target tank she wore and added my own chenille cardigan and shorts.
2nd Post:
Her look, American eagle tank, I have the black version but it didn’t look right that way so I went with a white Old Navy tank instead. Both of us in the American Eagle blush Chenille cardigan and shorts, me American eagle.
3rd Post:
I don’t have the beautiful beachy background, Iowa has no beaches that are natural. But I did grab the Free people bralette and my necklace is only 18 from red dress boutique. My thermal is under 25 and from amazon and we both have on the tomgirl American eagle jeans.

Skincare routine transitioning from winter to spring
I have a love affair with skincare. But I also know how important it is for skincare routine transitioning from winter to spring. I love so many different kinds and products but also at certain times of year too. I think that it is important to change up your skincare for the season and when your going into spring from winter its a major change.
In the beginning:
My skincare routine since I can remember has started with the proactiv because I had acne breakouts around that time of the month. I pretty much used it exclusivity till I was introduced to Rodan and Fields. A friend of mine loved it and had a party to introduce the brand to us and I feel in love.
Cleanser:
I tend to use two different cleansers, also a separate scrub. I use the Tula facial cleanser and love the results. When I am having a breakout I use Glamglow Clearing cream to foam cleanser. I am all out of this and waiting for the Sephora sale to stock back up. When I want a really good scrub, I use Derma E microdermabrasion scrub. It smells wonderful and feels so good on my skin.
Toner:
Toner I was using was two different ones actually. One more as a cleanser to clean up any leftover eye makeup and then an actual toner. It is great for getting rid of stubborn eye makeup, Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water. I was using the Rodan and Fields Reverse toner and have switched over to the Tula Toner. I love that it is a gel and doesn’t go everywhere when I use it.
Eye Cream:
One that I have been doing forever was eye cream. I have always used an eye cream since I was in college. I had a friend who told me whatever you do, use eye cream, use it now. And I did. I have used many different kinds and have only used the Rodan and Field one consistently and the BELIF.
Both of those have worked really well for me but I switched over to the Tula Multi Spectrum Eye Renewal Serum. I love this for spring and summer. It has a cooling metal tip to apply the product and it feels so good on your skin.
Serum:
I have used the Rodan and Fields Reverse, yes, I like to stick to the same thing, but I have now changed it up to Tula Volume Defense Serum. Getting older, I am concerned about wrinkles and what they are doing to my forehead and around my mouth so the switch to something more concerning to me was important. I also am wanting to try the Tula Acne Clearing and Tone. Hearing all great things about it and I tend to still break out every once in a while on my jaw line.
Moisturizer:
Winter I tend to go with a lot of oil products and heavier moisturizers then I would in the spring. I switched over from using up the end of the Reverse line of Rodan and Fields. Now over to Tula Hydrating day and night cream. Like it says you can do it day and night so it saves me some major needed counter space and money buying two different products. I also started using the Tula Multi-Spectrum Overnight Skin Rescue Treatment. This has been feeling really good at night and I am excited to see the results.
Sunscreen:
I just started using theJan Marini Skin Research Rejuvenate and Protect w/ Antioxidant DFP SPF 33.
Looking forward to seeing the results from this combo of sunscreen and Vitamin C Serum. I am using the two together to get the best results. Soon will update you in two weeks how it is going.
Primer:
I finish off with a primer to set my makeup. Winter I have been using Too Faced primer to spray my face. I have now switched back over to Pur 4 in 1 Correcting primer. I love how it feels when I put my makeup on and leaves a flawless finish. Another favorite of mine is Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow primer. It is a light primer that has a touch of sparkle to give a you a fresh dewy finish.
In conclusion:
This is the newest lineup for skincare for spring. I believe that it is important to change up your skincare routine from winter to spring. I am looking forward to putting in some more beauty content soon. I have a great friend that I am going to ask if she would like to do a guest post about her mask routine. She loves masks and her article about them is great and I would love to share.
