I dislike leftovers. There, I said it. I am not one of those people who likes to make all of their meals on Sunday and have them sitting in the fridge till Saturday. I will not eat them, ever. I do love the idea of having a plan, making the food fresh and delicious, and enjoying what I am eating. So that is why I am reviewing PlateJoy for you today! My PlateJoy review has been the perfect combination of all of that for me. Not only does it help you plan out your week. It gives you printable grocery lists and ideas that you can add or subtract. Also you can have the plan customized to your goals and how you are eating.

So when you start the process of checking out PlateJoy you first tell them who you are, your family and your goals. Options include wanting to lose weight, restricting your carbs, your ideas on meat, different choices such as low sodium or dairy free, even pregnant or nursing. They ask you what ingredients you want to avoid. Then if you want to have a variety of produce or to save money. This is so a unique idea because you finally get to tailor a plan specifically to your goals and your budget. They also ask if you like batch cooking! Where you shop, what you have for appliances to cook with, milk preferences and time. If you eat Keto, Paleo, Vegetarian, Mediterranean or Whole 30 they got you.
Every item is taken into consideration when making a meal plan for you. They want to know about the time you have to cook your meals. If you want to pack your lunch ahead of time or make it fresh. The time and effort put into figuring out what exactly each person needs is so refreshing. Unlike other meal plans your plan is so designed to what exactly you want and what you don’t. By letting them know what doesn’t sound good to you when you start on you meal planning list. These will permanently removed.

Then decide what you want for the week for meals. You decide how many meals you want and for whom. Every meal can be changed to something that is more suited towards your goals. Also you can adjust your preferences along the way. Just go back to customize and adjust to low sugar. You can do less carbs or more if you have a more active lifestyle. Being able to adjust how we are eating is such a helpful benefit.
After you decide on your meals for the week, who is eating when and what you want you can print off your list. Or use the app to check items off in the grocery store as you are shopping. I printed off my list because I like seeing it right in front of me. You first go through your digital pantry and mark down what you already have so you don’t buy too much. The meals are giving you the least amount of waste so you will have to by less in the end. PlateJoy gives you your list of groceries for the week and off you go to the store to grab them.
When you are ready to start your meals you just have to head over to the menu option and click cook! It is really that easy. Pick what meal you would like to have and just cook away.
I signed up for the 12 month plan just because I like saving money but they offer a 10 day free trial which is a great way to see the meals, decide if you want to try it out. I loved the meals that they had for me in the first week and I also love how you can adjust it along the way. I am looking forward to losing some weight and have some new low carb options to try.
The first meal that I prepared was the breakfast, Banana-nut breakfast toast. Its honestly too good to be true. I loved it and how easy and fast it was to make something so pretty on a plate. Lunch was Roasted red pepper and Gouda omelet. I love breakfast items as you can tell! The flavors were really good together and tasted delicious. For dinner we had the Herb butter salmon with blistered vegetables and a roll. Also a winner for sure.

I really enjoyed the fact that it told you the sizes of everything, that you were making multiple meals and how long they would take. They also gave all the nutrition facts for each meal which is so nice to have when most meal companies have you try to guess. I loved knowing exactly how many calories or carbs were in each meal.
I am so excited to start making this a regular part of our routine. I love that I can pick out my meals, customized to myself and my family. The fact that you can change it up and its all on an app is so helpful. The grocery list right there as you are going through the checkout line makes everything very easy and efficient. Then all you have to do is pick an item and hit cook and all of your instructions are right at your finger tips.
My review of PlateJoy is that I love it. It gives you the variety of meals that you are looking for with flexibility to change it whenever or however you want. Want to start eating with a different diet plan in mind, no problem. Your not stuck to one way of eating, just change you customization in the app to whatever you like. This would work for anyone of any range of eating preferences.
