    My Review of Daily Harvest

Post sponsored by Daily Harvest but all opinions and review are my own.

I am all about convenience so trying Daily Harvest was high on my list. I have wanted to try it for so long and I finally got the chance. Having a product shipped right to my door is the best first impression you can have. Nothing makes life more easier then being able to create my box on my phone and sent right to me.

    First Step:Create your box

Getting online and picking out my own combination of delicious superfood eats. Your choices are developed by a nutritionist and then made by chefs to not only be good for you but also taste good too. All Daily Harvest recipes are gluten-free and vegan with no added preservatives or additives. The cups are pre-portioned packed with farm-frozen organic fruits and vegetables. They are frozen and sent to your door. And you don’t just pick from smoothies, you can also get oat bowls, chia bowls, soups, harvest bowls and lattes.

    Second Step: Unboxing

Your pre-portioned cups will arrive ready to pop into your freezer and then blend, activate, or heat on your schedule. What I love about this is it is so convenient! It arrives at my door, still cold from the shipping so no worries if I am at work or running late. I can make these when I need something to eat that is nutritious, fast and easy before I run out the door. Having a large variety also is so helpful because some days you want options. These are perfect for any time of the day.

    Second Step: Making

I decided to have the strawberry and peach smoothie before I stepped out the door on my way to my hair appointment. I grabbed my vanilla unsweetened almond milk and added it to my cup. Then I placed all the contents in the blender and let it do its magic. This is such a perfect time to tell you that you can customize your smoothie any way you want to. Next time I am going to add in my protein powder and also my collagen powder. You could add in regular milk or water if you want to avoid extra calories. They is Dietary flexibility in each choice, you can use these if your keto or paleo or gluten-free. After blending just pour back into your cup, add the lid and put in a straw, most convenient food ever.

    Third Step:Tasting

This is the best part! The cup shows all the ingredients that are in the cup so you know what your are eating with the additon of your liquid. You can customize your cup so many different ways on what you add to it. Every ingredient is organic and plant based, only the top quality fruits and vegtables here. The variety of recipes also makes this a winner for me. Ingredients that I don’t have on hand and unique combinations that taste good are something that everyone can enjoy.

    In Conclusion:

I love Daily Harvest. Besides all of the above reasons it is so simple for a busy mom on the go to just order on my phone, have it shipped to my door and be able to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables before I run out again. Also each cup is 2 servings, the one I had today, the strawberry and peach was 70 calories a serving. So when I wolf down the entire thing, like I did, I don’t feel guilty for eating 140 calories of a healthy meal, unlike my latte that has way more calories. So if your looking for a healthy, easy way to save time and money this is for you. If you use my code, “renee3” you get 3 free cups in your first order. Just click here Daily Harvest and enter the code, your going to love them.

The 5 things you need to know before renting your first apartment

    Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Being a landlord I see the same basic things happening to my tenants over and over. It doesn’t seem to matter what age they are or education, there are the basics that they just don’t know. To myself and to people who may have rented previously or own your home these maybe silly but it blows my mind how many tenants have no idea these are things you should know.

    1. Change your filters- replace that furnace filter once a month or two if its not dirty, this will save you money if you pay your own utilities. The lint in the dryer, clean it out, you clothes will dry faster. Your water filter, just trust me and keep it clean.
    2. Your garbage disposal is not for garbage!! So important! This is my most paid bill by tenants who didn’t put anything down there as the plumber is pulling out noodles and dirt. Throw your trash in the trash, scrape your plates in the trash, rinse your dish in the sink.
    3. Don’t plan on mounting a TV to the wall unless you want to pay a drywaller to repair it. When you bolt multiple holes into the wall those are there forever. And the more holes and the bigger they are the more expensive it is to fix them.
    4. Line your drawers. Not just because it looks cute because do you really want to put your toothbrush next to some past tenants germs. If the place is new you can keep it that way or if its used, trust me you will want to cover up that mess.
    5. Don’t burn cheap candles, or any really. The smoke residue goes onto the walls and into your duct work and your breathing all of that in. You have to repaint the walls because the residue stains the walls and with so many alternatives why even use them.

These are the easiest things to do but for some reason people neglect them causing themselves a ton of money. For my tenants the lease tells them all of these things and if it causes a service call for one of these reasons it’s their bill.

    Altitude Trampoline Park in Davenport

This post was sponsored by Altitude trampoline park but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

I feel like we have been trapped inside for way too many days, so do my kids. We have been making the most out of being inside time with the usual pretend play, games and movies but the need to exercise their little bodies is something that is so very important. My kids love to run and jump and interact with other kids so being able to go to the new trampoline park in Davenport, Altitude, was the best way to keep them active and safe from the cold.

We were fortunate enough to be able to go to the new Altitude Davenport Trampoline Park. The Altitude Davenport location is the fresh, new entertainment destination in the Davenport area. Not too far away from us and filled with attractions not seen around here. Founded in 2012, Altitude is the fastest growing trampoline park company in the world. With over 35,000 square feet of indoor trampolines and attractions including a Main Court, Dodgeball, Battlebeam, Foam Pit, Trapeze Bar, Kids Court, Performance Trampoline, High 9 Reaction Wall, Wipeout there’s something to keep everyone entertained.

My kids were instantly drawn to the big foam pits where you could bounce off the trampoline and into the pit. After that they were off to the balance beam and rock wall. After multiple attempts to make it up the wall off they went to Wipeout which I think was Pipers favorite activity. The beam goes around and switches course so its always a surprise which way its coming. There were so many things to do. Will loved the dodgeball court where he took me on as a partner.

They got to get in a great workout, including myself. Jumping around the park isn’t only fun- it’s also a great workout. After just 30 minutes of jumping you can burn over 100 calories. So its a great workout for all of us since we have been inside for so long. Altitude Davenport Trampoline Park was wonderful to stretch out legs and be able to run around and jump. This was fun for all of us, its exercise for the entire family! I loved having fun with the kids and they enjoyed playing with me and their friends.

My son is having a birthday soon and he was already asking if we could book Altitude Davenport Trampoline Park for his party. Altitude has a perfect venue for birthday parties or any group event. They confirmed that the park can accommodate a group of any size, large or small. The best part is that Altitude will take care of all of it, from the organization to set up and to clean up. Their staff is so friendly and I can’t wait to book Will’s party.

Thinking about hosting your own birthday party at Altitude, click on the link to see their birthday page: Altitude Birthday parties

What I enjoyed most were my kids and their friends memories made. I got to see them plan with friends and make new ones. They had so much fun and so did I.
